The 1980's proved to be a very interesting
decade. Two herds stood out and dominated the Nationals; Nixon
and Shahen'ko, both herds from California. Nixon's Luminary
was named National GCH from 1981 until 1984. Afterwards, from
1985 until 1988 the Shahen'ko Herd won the National GCH four
times. But the decade began with a beautiful doe,perhaps one
that will always be revered in the hearts of many;
