HISTORY AND ACTIVITIES The Caprine Connection youth Club was formed just like most other clubs. There were a group of young people interested in raising goats for fun and profit. A semi-retired 4-H leader teamed up with an energetic mother to start this club in October of 1997. One newspaper ad and a month later the group had reached eight members. The goal of the club is to "promote the goat" in western PA through various community and regional activities. We are devoted to the care and propagation of the Caprine species. Our members enjoy raising the goats for both business and fun. The club applies the the principles of Head, Heart, Hands, and Health in all of our activities.

Some were born and raised in the area and some moved to Butler County more recently. We all have one thing in common - GOATS. Amongst our members, we have over 40 years of combined experience in the care and raising of all breeds of Dairy Goats. If there is one thing we like to do, it is to share this knowledge with others. If you would like to find out more about our club, and the different breeds of Dairy Goats or are just interested in some good old "goat talk", contact one of our members.
