Vassajara's Prudence
DOB 3/3/02

E+VV 89
Bay with correct black markings

Vassajara's Prudence won her first official GCH leg as a yearling milker at the Kansas State Fair, September 2003.
Permanent Grand Champion Vassajara's Prudence (pictured with owner/exhibitor Grady Stultz) won RGCH honors under judge Scott Horner, TX, at the Stillwater, OK dairy goat show, sanctioned by AGS and ADGA, June 27, 2004.

Vassajara's Prudence won her first official GCH leg as a yearling milker at the Kansas State Fair, September 2003. As a two-year-old she earned three more official Grand Champion honors at The Kansas Carousel Show in Abilene (judges Tecoa Siebert and Dave Daubert), and at the NEKDGC Show in Tonganoxie (judge Evin Evans). She is a Permanent Champion and a star milker with DHIR numbers just a few pounds out of ADGA Top Ten recognition...maybe 2007 will be her year. At age five she continues to be a star in the show ring, with many wins in Champion Challenge classes.

We are ecstatic to finally have purebred Oberhasli kids out of Prudence in 2007, sired by CH *N Tutlelu Shine-On Stephen. In all years past she has somehow managed to get bred by an Alpine buck, despite extreme precautionary measures on our part. Prudence freshened with beautiful twin doelings (Vanity and Vanessa) in 2005, but both were black with white facial stripes and tan legs. In 2006, we watched horrified as white legs emerged during her freshening...not again! Wanda and Wobofat were again obvious Alpine mistakes. In 2007, however, we went to great lengths to make sure she was given no chance to select her own mate (or vice versa...all Alpine bucklings and bucks were banned from anywhere near the senior doe pen) and were elated when Xpresso and Xpression, perfectly marked Oberhasli twins, were born Jan. 22. This buckling and doeling are absolutely beautiful in every way. Xpresso is for sale, Xpression will remain in our herd forever.

Konza-Kids Aubrey Amelia
DOB: 6/22/04
black, polled, purebred
 Amelia
Amelia is a valuable doe in many ways. She has an outstanding background, genetically, plus she is polled, purebred and black. She is a beautiful doe but complications with mastitus have led to an uneven udder, consequently she will not be shown. Despite this, she looks to earn her milking star on DHIR test easily...with great production from one side. Amelia freshened 2/3/07 with a beautiful single, black doeling, also purebred, which has been sold (Congratulations Sharon F.).

Venus is a very nice first-freshening two-year-old, purchased as a kid from Shelene Costello, NE. She is a smaller framed doe but very nice in milk production and udder attachments. She had a single doeling in January 2007...Gravel-Ends SOS Xtra-Terrestrial.

Venus and Waltz were Grand and Reserve at the 2007 Marion County 4-H Fair in July. Both are lovely examples of the beautiful Oberhasli breed. Venus is a first-freshening two-year-old, Waltz is a first-freshening yearling.

An easy-going, friendly young doe, curious and smart. Xpression is a genetic combination of excellent milk production and structural correctness. Her dam, Prudence, is a permanent Grand Champion in the show ring and produced 3,000 lbs. milk in a 305 day period last year. Her sire, CH *B Tutlelu Shine-On Stephen, is out of a top Oberhasli milking herd from Utah, well-known across the nation for exemplary production and quality. Xpression combines some of the best Oberhasli bloodlines available in the United States for this rare breed and we are thrilled with the prospects for her future.

Venus' daughter, Xtra-Terestrial, looks so much like her dam at a younger age, that is very hard for us not to call her Venus too. She had a very big head at birth and got stuck with the name ET, but she has grown into a lovely, lovely example of the Oberhasli breed, combining her dam's wonderful balance, structural correctness and capacious body with the style and size from her sire's side. We look forward to great things with this doeling.

Grady's favorite 07 Ober doelings, Xtra-Terrestrial and Xpression, placed first and second at the KS State Fair.
